Entrance Testing

For all students applying to our Diploma and Associate Degree programs, entrance testing is required as part of the admissions process. As a convenience for our students required to complete testing, we currently offer the following on our campus.

TEAS VI – Test of Essential Academic Skills

  • This test is comprised of Reading, Mathematics, Science, English and Language Usage.
  • Cost is $65.
  • Please call to make your reservation with the front desk.


  • This test helps measure a students cognitive ability
  • Cost is $20.


How to Schedule Your Test

To register for testing, students must contact the College to pre-register and pre-pay before the test date. Click here for a complete list of Testing Policies and Procedures.

Preparing for Your Test

Study guide suggestions are provided in the Information Session program packet and can also be found at local bookstores and libraries. Taylor College also offers Tutoring Sessions each month, taught by qualified instructors, focusing on Math and Science sections. Students interested in attending must pre-pay and pre-register.

Please note the Tutoring Sessions are a review of the materials for the included subjects. Please be advised that Taylor College does not guarantee improvement outcomes and we recommend additional study and preparation of the above subjects.

National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Testing Site

Taylor College is a testing site for the National Healthcareer Association. Students who submit their application and testing fee into the NHA can take the certification exam at the College. Specific to the Career Preparation Courses offered at Taylor College, students who successfully complete the course are able to complete the following certification exams on campus:

  • Course:  Medical Assistant Career Preparation Course
    • Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
    • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
    • Certified EKG Technician (CET)
  • Course:  Phlebotomy Career Preparation Course
    • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
  • Course:  EKG Career Preparation Course
    • Certified EKG Technician (CET)
