How to Apply for Financial Aid
Quick Links
FAFSA
Federal Pins
1. Applying
Apply for admission at Taylor College by completing and submitting the requirements for admission to the desired program.
2. FAFSA
Submit the FAFSA to the Department of Education. This can be done online by clicking the FAFSA. When completing the application you must use the Taylor Colleges federal school code number 041166. To electronically sign you application you use your PIN (and your parent, if you are a dependent). Allow up to two weeks for processing. Electronically signing you application will significantly reduce processing time.
3. College Processing and Notification
Once your FAFSA has been submitted to the Department of Education, a Student Aid Report (SAR) and an Institution’s Student Information Record (ISIR) are produced. You will receive a printed copy of the SAR in the mail (or email if you provided one on the FAFSA). When you receive your SAR, please review it to ensure that all information is accurate. If a correction needs to be made, please contact the Financial Aid Office. You will also be informed if you were chosen for Verification. When your ISIR is received by the College, the Financial Aid Office will complete the processing by determining amounts and types of aid you are eligible to receive. Notification will then be mailed to you along with any additional information.
4. Additional Information
Additional information may be needed if your application is selected for verification. Once the school has determined that the student has been chosen for verification, the school will send the student the Verification Notice to Student informing you of the required information you need to submit. Financial Aid cannot be awarded until the Financial Aid office verifies all information on the ISIR with the required documentation you submit to the school.
Additional information may be requested such as copies of your (and parents, if dependent) tax returns and any other official documents needed. Student must also complete the appropriate Verification Form depending upon if you are an independent or a dependent (determined by the Department of Education).
