Entrance Testing

Register: To register for testing, you must contact the school and pre-register and pre-pay before the test date. You may check for study guides at your favorite book store or at the local library.

Testing Schedule: Wednesday’s at 6:00pm, Friday’s at 1:30pm, Saturday’s at 10:00am.

HESI – Admissions Assessment Exam (2–4 hours)

Cost is $45.00

This test is comprised of the following subjects: Mathematics, Reading, Grammar, Vocabulary, General Knowledge and Personality Profile.

TABE – Test of Adult Basic Education (2–1/2 hours)

Cost is $ 15.00

This test is comprised of Reading, Mathematics Computation, Applied Mathematics, Language and Spelling sections.

TEAS – Test of Essential Academic Skills (4 hours)

Cost is $ 45.00

This test is comprised of Reading, Mathematics, Science, English & Language Usage.

NLN Critical Thinking in Clinical Nursing Practice–PN Test (4 hours)

Cost is $ 50.00

Testing Policies and Procedures

  • Pre–pay and pre registration are required.
  • Absolutely NO CHEATING will be permitted.
  • We require absolute silence during testing.
  • No sign language.
  • Keep eyes on your own test.
  • No workbooks or notes are allowed into testing room.
  • Cell Phone and all other electronics must be Turned–off.
  • Purses, Handbags, etc. Are not allowed in testing room.
  • No beverages or food are allowed in testing room.
  • All the supplies needed for testing will be provided by Taylor College.
  • All supplies including scrap paper must be returned upon completion of testing.
  • Once testing has begun, only bathroom breaks will be allowed.
  • All sections of testing must be completed in one sitting. If not completed, the test will be forced completion at the end of the day.
  • When done testing please see the test administrator for assistance. Do not log off.
  • Those who are caught violating any of the testing rules will be removed from the testing room and have their answers voided. They will not receive a refund for their testing Fee.
