Each of the programs available at Taylor College offers a hybrid learning style. Many of the General Education courses required are administered via online in combination with the program Core Courses, instructed on-campus. The material taught and the examinations administered are equally as difficult as the traditional classroom instruction. These on-line courses are taught in the same manner, with assignments and testing due during certain time frames.

*On-line courses are only available to those students currently enrolled in a program at Taylor College.

What is On-Line learning?

On-line learning is the delivering of systematic education through specific software enabling the student and teacher to interact using an internet connection.

What is a Hybrid style of learning?

Programs are offered with both on-line and face-to-face meetings.

How to I register for an on-line course?

Access codes will be distributed during the first day of lecture. Students are then directed to the Student Portal on the website to log in.

Do on-line courses require textbooks and where can I purchase them?

Taylor College on-line courses DO require textbooks. They can be purchased through Taylor College’s sponsored Publisher. Their direct link can be found on the website. Students who purchase their textbook through Taylor College are allotted the hard back copy of the text book as well as the E-Textbook.

How do I know what textbook to order?

The textbooks required for each program are listed on each Programs home page.

Who are the on-line faculty?

Taylor College’s on-line courses are taught by specified instructors with outstanding distance learning understanding.

How much time needs to be devoted to my on-line course?

Each person has their individual learning style and needs to plan accordingly. However, it is recommended that each course generally demands 3 hours daily, of off-line preparation. Please keep in mind that each course has specific requirements and deadlines that must be adhered to.

How do I communicate with my instructor?

Instructors can be reached by phone or e-mail to swiftly answer any questions or concerns.

How do I communicate with my classmates?

Each on-line course has a virtual classroom or discussion board available along with our social networking tools; Facebook & Twitter.

What if I have a problem with my on-line course?

On-line technical support is just a click away. With our direct e-mail; our tech support has a 24 hour response time. *Please remember to e-mail your instructor directly if you have a problem that is not technically related; assignments, testing.
