Continuing Education

Along with academic programs offered at Taylor College there are also continuing education courses available to help working professionals remain current with industry trends and demands. The continuing education courses are designed to allow students the flexibility to attain this knowledge while ensuring that the necessary content is delivered to students.

Students will be able to conveniently register and complete CE courses online. Once the course has been completed successfully, students can print a Certificate of Completion.

On-Campus Courses

Assisted Living Facility Training (ALF Core)
Assisted Living Facility Administrators and ECC Supervisors are required to successfully complete the Assisted Living Facility Core Training with in 3 months of becoming a Facility Administrator or ECC Supervisor. This training is also open to other interested persons. For those who are required to attend this training, successful completion of the ALF Core Training includes passing the ALF Core Competency Examination.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
The college is approved to offer National Safety Council and American Heart Association training.

National Safety Council – 2 Year Certification

  • Adult CPR, 2 Hours – $ 35.00
  • Infant and Child CPR, 2 Hours – $ 30.00
  • First Aid, 3 Hours – $ 10.00
  • All three for – $ 65.00

* National Safety Council is offered every Thursday starting 11:00 a.m. at the institution. With the exception of the last Thursday of each month BLS class will be taught.

American Heart Association – 2 Year Certification

  • Adult, Infant, Child (CPR) Basic Life Support (BLS) – $ 45.00

I.V. Therapy
This course is designed to provide LPNs with a basic knowledge of I.V. Therapy practice. Course content includes current standards of practice, a venous access device review, venipuncture techniques, I.V. medication administration and fluid management, a review of nutritional solutions, management of difficult I.V. insertions, legal aspects and vascular access protocols. Students will complete this course in a self-study format and will meet on the last day. Upon successfully complete the student will receive documentation of I.V. Therapy Education. Successful completion includes attendance, class participation, and a minimum grade of 75% of the Final Exam.
